Founded in 2018, WBForex was born from a simple observation: South African expatriates were being underserved by their banks and overcharged on every international transfer. Founders Peter and Adele, themselves South Africans who made the move to the UK, set out to build a service that combined genuine regulatory expertise with the warmth and personal touch of a trusted friend.

Peter has spent over 11 years in the SA expat financial services industry. Together with Adele and a dedicated team in South Africa handling trades, tax, and compliance, they have helped well over 5,000 clients navigate the financial side of life abroad.

WBForex operates as a juristic representative of BeztForex, which is regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) of South Africa. We operate in full compliance with SARB exchange control regulations and SARS requirements.

South Africans Immigrating to the UK

We were instrumental in setting up the Facebook support group for South Africans making the journey to the UK. It is not just about forex. The group covers the entire immigration journey, from visas and schooling to healthcare and housing.

We are the only transfer business that runs a community like this. With over 69,000 members, it has become one of the most active support networks for South African expats in the UK. Whatever stage of the journey you are at, there is someone in the group who has been there before.

Peter Walker

Peter has over 11 years of experience in the South African expat financial services industry. Having made the move from South Africa to the UK himself, he built WBForex to give other expats the expert, personal service he wished he had when navigating transfers, tax, and retirement funds from abroad.

Adele Walker

Adele co-founded WBForex and leads client relationships, ensuring every transfer is handled with care and precision. Her hands-on approach means clients always have a named person to speak to, not a call centre.

Peter and Adele are supported by a dedicated team based in South Africa who execute trades, manage SARS compliance, and handle tax submissions on behalf of our clients, ensuring every case is handled with local expertise and precision.

Forex Meets Forest

The WhiteBIRCH Forext Foundation is our environmental commitment programme. "Forext" is a deliberate blend of "forex" and "forest", because we believe that every financial transaction can have a positive environmental impact.

For every transaction processed through WBForex, we contribute to tree planting and reforestation projects. Since our inception, we have planted over 428 trees, offsetting carbon emissions and restoring natural habitats.
